Pastel Art with Silhouette.

Blended Pastel Art

The last few Weeks in Totara Class we have been doing new types of art! This time we have been doing Pastel art and on our Art pieces we drew a silhouette, a moon and a pastel background that blends together. In my art piece I have Light blue, Darker Blue and Black. The moon is shaded on one side and there are two trees and a Person.

Question: Would you try this? If so what colours would you use for the Background??

Reflection: I could have blended the colours better and taken a better Photo.

Real or Fake. Cybersmart. (With Riley)

Riley and I are learning "How to be Internet Awesome" or pretty much how to check if things are a scam or not. Here we did a "Real or Fake" test. We thought that 3 of them were fake and 2 were real!

Most People should have an idea of how to behave? Here i have made this "Google Drawing", of how to behave online, There are two ways you treat people, Formally for people like Teachers, Strangers, Adults and Employers, and Informal which is used for Friends!

My Tesselation

Today in Totara we are doing Tesselation Art. Tesselation uses Geometry and it also looks infinity! So we got a rectangle and cut parts of it off, We then use a ruler to put it perfectly opposite the empty piece and stick it on.

Charcoal Abstract

Today in Totara we have been doing cave art using Charcoal, We searched on Google for Charcoal Abstract art, and Then we chose our inspiration. My inspiration was a crow on a tree. I added another crow that was flying and in between the crow and tree I did some Roy Lichtenstein art. The Artists name was Paola ???. I don't know the last name.

Reflection: I could've taken a better Photo and find the artists last name.

King Midas and The Chocolate touch Animation.

King Midas and The Gold Touch Animation

In Totora class we are making King Midas animations. The story is about a Greedy King sees to Gods called Dionysus and Silenus passing through, King Midas offered them to stay in his home, Dionysus grants him a wish and Midas wishes that everything he touched turned to Gold. The next day he wakes up and starts touching things, It turns to gold but when he hugs his Daughter she turns to gold, he then gets told to wash his hands.

Jim Dine themed art.

In Totora we have been learning different artists styles, This time we are doing Jim Dines style.

Jim Dine normally does tool art so we tried his style. The tool I did was a wall stapler (It kind of looks like a unicorn). 

You draw around the tool of choice and then you use charcoal to make the lines darker, you then smudge it so it makes the tool pop. 

Recount: I enjoyed doing this what i can work on is making it look less like a unicorn or shoe and more like a wall stapler.

Today in Totora we were learning how to take different Camera shots and Angles, Me and my buddy Tawhiri used our chromebooks to take different types of Photos. We are taking these because we are going to be taking part in the Manaiakalani film contest.

Reflection: I think we could write longer Purposes and find better places to take photos because the lighting in some photo's weren't very good

How to find a Copyright free Image.

Here I am explaining how to credit and give find copyright free images.

There are 4 Ways you can do this.

Go to Google and search for a image you want to use, Then you go to tools then usage rights and Labeled for reuse. Make sure you are allowed to reuse it.

Or you can go to docs and go to tools, Than explore and search for the image you need. The image already has a link.

Or you can use Google draw or Take your own image!

Gabriel Moreno Themed Art

Walt: Make a piece of art using Gabriel Moreno's Style

In Totara we have learned lots of different artists styles.

This time we have done Gabriel Moreno's style, His style shows us hair flowing and has no colours but shades, We did patterns in the background and I did a bunch of eyes on my shirt...  I tried using different patterns for most of it. You should try it, Get some inspiration by searching Gabriel Moreno in the Google search engine.

This term in Totara Class we were learning Rugby League with our coaches Jim and Kerry, Every Wednesday they come to teach us by using fun games and activities. We learned lots of things like what a dummy does and how to pass.

How to play Touch
In this photo we were playing touch. Here are the rules (P.S: Some things may be wrong as I am still learning) It starts by someone on one team kicking off no higher than up to someones shoulders to the over teams side, The other team should get the ball and start running to the other side, If the person with the ball gets touched they put the ball on the ground and kicks it back, Another team mate gets the ball and passes the ball to someone that are behind them, Eventually when you get to the goal line you place it down, Don't Drop it! If you run out of the boundaries you give it to the other team.

Today we learned how to posters about how to make a QUALITY blog post with our Cybersmart Teacher Donna Yates, W.A.L.T: To create a quality Blog Post. We used techniques like 1. Catchy titles, 2.
